WATCH: Barbra Streisand Duets With Donald Trump, Er, Jimmy Fallon

In this election season of shame and scandal, no one provides levity quite like Barbra Streisand. The iconic songstress appeared on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform a duet of the “Annie Get Your Gun” classic “Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better” with a special partner: Donald Trump.

Ok, it was actually Fallon in orange makeup and a wig. (At one point his hair blew over; Barbra reached to help him, but was stopped by some fearsome growls. “Be careful,” Fallon said, reaching for his toupee. “Be careful. He only listens to me.”)

A favorite moment came at the very start of the song. “Anything you can do I can do better, I can do anything better than you,” Streisand sang to Fallon.

“No you can’t,” he responded; “Yes I can,” she retorted. “No you can’t,” “Yes I can.” Fallon, frustrated, resorted to a classic Trump twitter-ism, “Nope. Sad!”

Another fave: Fallon asking Babs if she wants to be his new campaign manager, to the respondse “No way, Jose.” Fallon pivoted towards the audience, alarmed, and exclaimed “Jose? Where is he? Get him out of here!”

In this age of misinformation, our work is needed like never before. We report on the news that matters most to American Jews, driven by truth, not ideology.

At a time when newsrooms are closing or cutting back, the Forward has removed its paywall. That means for the first time in our 126-year history, Forward journalism is free to everyone, everywhere. With an ongoing war, rising antisemitism, and a flood of disinformation that may affect the upcoming election, we believe that free and open access to Jewish journalism is imperative.

Readers like you make it all possible. Right now, we’re in the middle of our Passover Pledge Drive and we need 500 people to step up and make a gift to sustain our trustworthy, independent journalism.
